Getting ready for Christmas

Mommaw and Poppaw came to visit the first week of December. Jack was just starting to walk and they were here to witness it!

What a hugger! MUSCLES! Now that he's walking, Jack like to "redecorate" the Christmas tree. Opening some presents early.... Reading Daddy a bedtime story. Jack helps us set up our outdoor decorations.... ...he's so strong! Playing with the Little People Nativity set from Uncle Bobby, Aunt Regina, Noah & Kylie. 'Twas the night before Christmas when all through the house, not a creature was stirring......not even our two lazy dogs or rediculously fat cat! (sorry it doesn't rhyme) MERRY CHRISTMAS!! Look what Santa brought Jack! Jack's "most memorable" Christmas!

We decided Jack was still a bit too young for trick or treating this year, but I got him a pirate costume since we had Kindermusik on Halloween. He's Captain Jack!

Jack turns ONE!!

For Jack's first birthday, we decided to go to the zoo. He had a great time. He loved the gorillas and elephants, but especially the otters. They put on a great show for us!

An early present from Uncle Mel and Aunt Rachel. Jack's Elmo chair -- Happy Birthday! Welcome to "Otter Outpost" at the Dallas Zoo. ...lunchbreak... We hid out in the gorilla viewing room to enjoy the air conditioning.

Play date in Indiana

When Jack and I went to Indiana, we got together with my friends and their kids. Four of us were pregnant together and had our babies within about 2 months of each other.

Lots of "firsts"

July and August were full of "firsts" for Jack. Here's a few pictures of the most memorable ones.

Jack went to a pediatric opthamologist and had his eyes dilated. They gave him these cool shades until his pupils returned to normal. FIRST TOOTH!!! Thinking about crawling....lots of rocking First time he woke up SITTING! YEA!! First crawling "steps"!
