A song for my babies...
I'm not really a big Rod Stewart fan but today, as I was driving around with my two babies in the car, I heard the song "Forever Young". I guess I never really listened to the lyrics before (can't really stand his voice) but for some reason today I did. Even though I'm extremely grateful that Lyla is passing through these first three "newborn" months quickly, I am ready for Jack to slow down and be my little boy a bit longer { sniff sniff } here are the lyrics....
May the good Lord be with you Down every road you roam.
And may sunshine and happiness surround you when you're far from home.
And may you grow to be proud
Dignified and true.
And do unto others
As you'd have done to you.
Be courageous and be brave
And in my heart you'll always stay
Forever Young.
May good fortune be with you
May your guiding light be strong
Build a stairway to heaven
with a prince or a vagabond.
And may you never love in vain
and in my heart you will remain
Forever Young.
And when you finally fly away
I'll be hoping that I served you well.
For all the wisdom of a lifetime
No one can ever tell.
But whatever road you choose
I'm right behind you, win or lose
Forever Young.

Nap Time...
For a few brief moments, both kids were napping today! I have been opening Jack's door when he hits the 2 hour mark, so he can come out whenever he wakes up. He seems to be less grouchy that way. Anyway, I heard him talking but he never came out so I went to check on him....this is what I found (it was really dark --and even when my flash went off, he didn't budge)...Jack kept sleeping with his head at the foot of his bed, so I finally just turned his bed around. I also recently took the safety rail off of his bed and put the "normal" bed rails back on.

Lyla & Jack
My latest attempt at getting a picture of both kids. Jack will sometimes get really close to her and even kiss her or hug her, but NEVER when I want him to...
