Sorry I haven't been posting much lately. Jack started having really bad tantrums DAILY about the time of my last post. We bought many books and talked to our pediatrician's office and after many tears (his AND mine) we started a reward chart for good behavior days. I have also been taking him on nightly walks to burn off some extra energy and he's back on his Allegra which should help him sleep better. He has gone 5 consecutive days with no tantrums!! Keep your fingers crossed and prayers going. In addition to that, our pets have decided to have simultaneous break-downs!! We've been to veterinarians more in the last two months than, I think, in the last two years?? Ben just had his teeth cleaned and a tooth pulled, no biggie, he's on antibiotics twice daily. If you've never given a cat a pill before, I wouldn't recommend it --it's not fun. Kirby had his teeth cleaned and some x-rays. He was diagnosed with hip dysplasia and a luxating patella. There's nothing we can do about the hips but he has a surgical consultation next week to find out our options for repairing his knee. He gets a pill twice a day for pain. Lucy was diagnosed with glaucoma and has finally seen the opthamologist and is scheduled to have her right eye removed next week. Poor girl. She gets a pill 3 times a day and drops in her eye 3 times a day. Kirby and Lucy are also still getting bi-weekly allergy shots and daily allergy pills. I feel like my day is spent administering pills, changing diapers, feeding hungry children, and cleaning up as many messes as I can. I need a vacation!!! So, hopefully this will all settle down soon and I can go back to happily blogging about my beautiful children!
