On Sunday, the weather got up to about 70 and we went to the San Antonio Zoo. It is probably my new favorite zoo. The atmosphere is so beautiful and I love that multiple animals share the same space. If I had to live in a zoo -- I think I'd be happy there! After the zoo, we went back to the hotel for naps and to swim one last time. We left Monday morning and made pretty good time. No major catastrophes on the trip home, however, we arrived at our house to find our smoke detectors (all of them!) going off LOUDLY, discovered that Lyla had a temperature of 103, and we couldn't find the cat for a while. Poor guy was hiding upstairs in the only room that didn't have a smoke detector going off. I'm glad the craziness happened when we got home instead of on our trip.
